WHAT IS LASER TATTOO REMOVAL?
It is estimated that 1 in 5 people regret their tattoo. As the number of individuals with tattoos has increased, so has the need for improvements in removal methods. Before laser tattoo removal, methods such as acid treatments, surgical excision, and dermabrasion were used. These were potentially harmful treatments with painful and sometimes permanent side effects.
Luckily, things have changed, and there are newer treatments available. We are excited to offer the most advanced laser tattoo removal method, the PicoWay. This powerful laser shatters the conventional method of removal.

HOW DOES LASER TATTOO REMOVAL WORK?
Traditionally, lasers removed tattoos by breaking up the pigmented colors of the tattoo with a high-intensity light beam. However, the PicoWay delivers energy to the tattoo in ultra-short pulses. These pulses are so fast that they are measured in picoseconds – which is one trillionth of a second! Those pulses shatter even the tiniest ink particles, making it easier for your body to clear.
Another huge improvement is that the PicoWay can treat a wide range of colors on different skin with fewer treatments and little to no downtime.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY APPOINTMENT?
We strongly recommend that you schedule a complimentary consultation before undergoing tattoo removal. This will allow you to establish a treatment plan and discuss your options for comfort during the treatment.
You may feel some discomfort depending on the area of the body being treated and your individual skin sensitivity. The sensation is commonly compared to the feeling of pops of hot bacon grease hitting your skin or being snapped by a rubber band. We offer a topical anesthetic available by prescription that can be applied before treatment to minimize this discomfort. We also offer Pro-Nox for an additional charge.
HOW LONG WILL MY RESULTS LAST?
Laser tattoo removal is permanent. Once your treatment is completed, your tattoo will be gone or very faint, depending on the size of the tattoo and ink colors used.
