Novathreads are absorbable surgical sutures composed of polydioxanone. In a thread lift procedure, temporary sutures are used to produce a subtle but visible “lift” in the skin. The placement of the sutures provokes the body’s healing process, increasing collagen in those areas. These threads are placed underneath the skin to lift the loose skin, which heals itself by naturally creating new collagen.
Patients should expect bruising and swelling for 5-14 days. Patient can return to normal activity within 48 hours. Some discomfort is to be expected for 5-14 days.
Results are immediate and threads take 1 year to dissolve.
Men and women who have mild to moderate sagginess, wrinkles and lines are good candidates.
