PicoWay
PicoWay
Picoway laser treats dark spots, tatoos of the skin including permanent makeup and uses lower energies which yields faster results than older technologies without overheating the skin. Laser energy is delivered so rapidly that even the smallest pigment fragments will shatter allowing the pigment to be more easily eliminated.
Downtime
Most people experience swelling, redness, and pinpoint bleeding. We encourage you to keep the treated area moistened with vaseline for 7-10 days.
Results
Most patients will see results after a series of treatments is completed.
Candidate
Safe for all skin types, tattoo colors, pigmented lesions, skin irregularities, and signs of aging.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY APPOINTMENT?
During your treatment, you will be given protective eye wear which will protect your eyes from the intense laser light. Many people ask if the PicoWay treatment hurts. The laser may feel like little pinpricks to the skin. The degree of discomfort varies with each person depending on the nature and location of the pigmented lesions on the body. If you are concerned about discomfort, you can ask for a prescription for a topical numbing agent that you can use during the treatment session. Please let the receptionist know when you schedule your appointment that you would like this prescription.
After the treatment, you may experience redness, swelling, and minor bruising for the first 24-48 hours. You may notice darker spots peeling or falling off in the treatment site. This is a normal part of the process.
HOW LONG WILL MY RESULTS LAST?
The effectiveness of the treatment depends on many factors such as the location, depth, size, and type of pigmentation. Some lesions will require several treatments for optimal results where some can be resolved in a single treatment. Typically, we recommend a series of three to four treatments.
