Radiesse
Radiesse
Radiesse is an FDA-approved cosmetic skin treatment that fills the face, hands, or other body areas. It’s an effective method for reducing wrinkles, folds, and creases around the face. Radiesse is also a safe, non-toxic, and hypoallergenic way to smooth your wrinkles and have you looking and feeling smooth. Here’s what you can expect from treatment with Radiesse at Dermatology Consultants of Short Hills.
What Is Radiesse Treatment Like?
Radiesse is a simple and effective treatment provided in the office. Before your treatment, our team will determine where to add the injections based on your goals. Then, your provider will determine what dosage to use, depending on whether you have moderate or severe wrinkles and creases.
The entire procedure can often be completed in 15 minutes, depending on how many injections are necessary. Typically, we will use a local anesthetic like lidocaine to ease any pain during the procedure and ensure you’re comfortable. Once the injections are complete, you can return to your normal routine.
What Can I Expect During Recovery?
You may see some swelling, but this should begin to subside within three days. You should also avoid sunlight until the swelling is down, as it can slow down and even harm your recovery. In addition, you may experience some discomfort or bruising. If so, you may take over-the-counter pain medications. While you’ll want to avoid vigorous activities for a few days to a week, you can continue your routine after Radiesse treatment.
How Long Before I See Results?
You will likely see some improvements right after your treatment and full results within a week.
How Long Will The Results Last?
Radiesse treatments can last at least a year and even longer in some patients.
