Vbeam

Vbeam

The VBeam is a pulsed dye laser used to treat dilated blood vessels; it is often called a vascular laser. The laser energy is delivered in pules and a dye is used to generate laser beams of different colors. The VBeam Perfecta works by delivering short pulses of energy to the treatment area. A cooling burst of cryogen is delivered before each pulse of the laser. The cryogen is delivered before each pulse of the laser. The cryogen increases comfort during the treatment and minimizes the side effects. Each pulse targets the hemoglobin, the red protein in blood cells in the blood vessels. Surrounding skin is not damaged in treatment.

Downtime

Expect to see slight redness and swelling, but the majority of patients return to work the same day.

Results

Results are seen about two weeks after treatment, and most patients will require a series of treatments.
