Dr. Garone was raised in Vienna, Virginia, a suburb of Washington D.C. He attended Boston College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After graduating, he returned to Washington D.C. and conducted clinical research in the area of HIV/AIDS at George Mason University. Dr. Garone went on to attend the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he served as the president of the Internal Medicine Club.

While in medical school, he was awarded the Lange Student Award, given in recognition of the two students with the highest GPA at WVSOM.

Upon graduation from medical school, Dr. Garone moved to Florida where he completed both his Internship and Dermatology Residency at Nova Southeastern University. In his final year of residency, he served as Co-Chief Resident, and was specially elected by his Program Director to attend multiple leadership programs to develop skills as a leader in the field of dermatology. 

Dr. Garone is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a Founding Member of the American Board of Medical Specialties, and is certified in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Garone enjoys practicing medical, cosmetic, and surgical (including Mohs) dermatology. He and his wife enjoy hiking, movies, traveling, and spending time with their miniature golden doodle, Molly.
